COUNTRY MUSIC IN D.C. | Some would say that could never work -- Christopher Colletta disagrees. Influenced by legends like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson and by newer blood like Charley Crockett and Justin Townes Earle, you won’t hear music like his on the radio -- not FM, at least.
~ "Hell yeah, bruther." ~ Logan Rex of Artikal Sound System
Having lived in Nashville and Austin before moving to Paris and now D.C., he is determined to bring traditional country and Americana to the Nation's Capital.
~ “Ouiii!” ~ unknown French spectator
Christopher has recorded solo and with Folklaur and Fame Jane, and is currently writing more original music to add to the hours of songs he already covers. Aside from the bar scene throughout Washington, D.C., he has even played locations like the U.S. Embassy in Paris, bringing authentic sounds of home to American expats in France. In addition to performing, he plans to record an EP of original music, much of which is inspired by the years he spent as an officer in the U.S. Army before moving to Paris.
